BB Bakery

BB Bakery is located near Covent Garden and Trafalgar Square. Their website describes themselves as “London meets Paris” and French patisserie is at its best there. I was meeting a friend for a catch up and we decided to try out this elegant and quaint patisserie salon. We didn’t go for the afternoon tea but ordered off the standard menu. I’m glad we went for this option as we got to try their lunchtime deal, where you could enjoy a French croque monsieur, quiche, salad, sandwich, or egg cocotte. Then you could add a cake and drink of your choice. It was a very hard decision for us to choose our cakes because they all looked so delicious and like a piece of art. In the end we shared two different ones. I highly recommend sharing things as you get to try different things! I do this quite a lot if I can’t manage a whole cake, as half is sometimes all you need.

Egg cocotte

Quiche

We both enjoyed a pot of Darjeeling tea (a light and floral tea). For my lunchtime treat I had a spinach and goats cheese quiche. My friend had an egg cocotte (a baked egg dish). Both came with a generous side salad. The cakes we chose were a chocolate ‘darling’ and a praline flavoured éclair. The chocolate was so rich and velvety in the mouth. The presentation of the whole meal was so cute and dainty.

BB Bakery really is a proper little gem tucked away off the main roads. Although at first glance the menu seems expensive, it really isn’t for the quality of the food and in comparison to other tearooms. There is also the option for gluten free, vegetarian and halal dietary requirements. If you don’t fancy going to the café, afternoon tea can be delivered to London offices from £19 per person!

I found a really delicious offer for 25% off afternoon tea until the end of January! Using this offer, pay £24.95 and only £21.75 on weekdays! Find the links below.
