April favourites

I haven’t done a favourites blog before. I’m not sure it will be a regular thing or not but have bought some cool things recently and thought I would share them. Let me know if you want to see more of these. A lot are not food related but have foody flavoured ingredients in them!

Lush butterball bath bomb

7

I have got more into baths recently. I find it hard when I don’t get “me” time and think it is important to pamper yourself once in a while, otherwise things can get on top of you. The best thing I can do when I am stressed is to have a little relax session. This can be reading my favourite book, having a gorgeous shower or painting my nails. Find things you like to do and try to fit them into your week. Whether you watch a film or find a quick 15-minute treat for you to enjoy, make sure you do!

Lush have only been a recent obsession of mine as I was never one for taking long relaxing baths before. However, even when I have a short bath I feel so relaxed! Lush has always been a super innovative brand with their cool designs and creativity and I’m not just saying that because I went to the same school as one of the founders. In fact, the head office is just up the road from where I grew up! Their products smell amazing and the butterball bath bomb is no exception. It is predominantly cocoa and Ylang Ylang scents. This product is so great for stress relief and indulging in a long soak.

Madame-POSH strawberries and cream tea

21

I love this tea so much. I can’t seem to find out how to buy it online though so might have to revisit the place. Madame-POSH describe themselves as a patisserie and home emporium. They are certainly that. I had the best scone there and the posh vibe was right up my street! It didn’t feel overwhelming though. The tea selection is so outstanding. The flavour of strawberries and cream really compliments the Ceylon tea, and it still has a strong tea taste – which is what I like! If you are ever in Windsor do check this café out! The cake selection is also very tempting.

Yankee Candle Jar – Vanilla Cupcake

43

This candle smells incredible! The cupcake scent is sweet but not overpowering. I love burning this candle whilst doing some admin on my laptop or having an indulgent bath. It is almost good enough to eat. You really have to try it!

Ombar raw cacao buttons

1 1

You may have seen my recent blog on Planet Organic which is an exciting healthy food and beauty shop in London. They sell lots of cool brands including Ombar. These cacao buttons are so tasty and just like any other dark chocolate but they are so much better for you. They are made from raw cacao which is the state before processing into cocoa so you are getting more nutrients. Mmmm.

Palmolive strawberry touch body butter shower gel

5

The smell of this is so so good! I love fruity scents and am enjoying using this in my showers to wake me up in the morning. A little luxury to start off the day is always a great thing! It is also really great for my skin I barely need to use much moisturiser afterwards!

The Body Shop Honey & Oat 3-in-1 scrub mask

6

So they have changed the packaging on this so mine is not the up to date one but it just proves how long this stuff lasts! It really does what it promises – cleanses, moisturises and softens the skin. I really do think The Body Shop face masks are underrated. I have sensitive skin and this is so great for me. It also smells delicious and feels so soothing on the skin. I love having time to do a proper face mask pamper session.
