March Favourites

March has been a great month. Spring is finally here and I’m loving the fresh and sunny days we are having in the UK at the moment. A lot of my favourites are a mix of beauty and food this month. I’ve discovered some gems again and can’t wait to share them with you. On another exciting note, I went to my first blogging event this month and although I could only make the end of it, it was so amazing to go and also to meet other bloggers!

Food…

Meridian Date Syrup

I’ve been hearing lots of great things about date syrup but I had never tried it until now. I wanted to find other natural sweeteners like honey and maple syrup. I’ve heard lots of bloggers using dates to sweeten their healthy bakes and thought I would give it a go. I’ve been drizzling mine on porridge in the mornings and it is so delicious! I’ve also used it in my homemade granola recipe. It gives a caramel like gooey sweetness and I love that. It tastes so indulgent and rich. I love it!

Raw Halo Mylk + Krispies
I’ve been really into healthier chocolate bars and indulging in a luxury brand for a special treat. Raw Halo is one of my favourite brands and their packaging is so elegant. Their chocolate is also sweetened with natural sugars such as coconut sugar and so they are much better for you. They also don’t compensate on taste and I prefer bars like these now!

Making My Own Granola

As you may have seen from one of my previous blogs I posted a recipe of my deluxe granola. I have been loving making my own breakfast cereals and it is really easy to do! I am also excited that I kick start the day with something yummy, healthy and a combination of my choice of ingredients you can’t buy in the shops. I literally mix and match ingredients I have in the cupboards and try and experiment with different nuts, seeds and natural sweeteners.

Sula Butterscotch Sugar Free Sweets

I originally bought these sweets for my boyfriend but instantly got addicted to them. I try to avoid sweets as they are not great for your teeth but these sugar free ones sounded amazing. The butterscotch flavour is also there and you wouldn’t know they were sugar free. I really recommend these and you can get them in places like Holland and Barrett.

Beauty

L’Oréal Elvive Extraordinary Oils Nourishing Shampoo

I’ve been wanting to talk about this product for so long now but I kept forgetting to mention it! It makes my hair so soft and is not very expensive. Not only is this shampoo amazing for my hair but it is INCREDIBLE at cleaning my makeup brushes. Yep! I clean my makeup brushes with it. What I love is that how clean the brushes come out when I clean them with this. I have tried numerous cleaning products to clean my makeup brushes and none have taken off foundation as well as this. It literally is the best! It now takes me no time at all to clean my brushes and they come out as good as new! You need to try this stuff!

Bare Minerals Eye Shadow Blender Brush

This brush is quite pricey but I don’t think I paid full price for it. I had forgotten I had owned it so it was about time to show it some attention! It really is beautiful at blending and I can create a seamless fusion of eye shadow with it. It also looks really sophisticated and the bristles are so soft!

Danielle Cork Collection Makeup Brush

I bought this makeup brush a while ago in TK Maxx but I thought I would give it a little mention as I’ve been really loving using this for bronzer. Can I start with how beautiful it is? Cork and copper… a match made in heaven! It feels so well made and it has lovely soft bristles. I feel so luxurious using this. I’ve tried to post a link of the product but I could only find it on Amazon. Let me know if you have any ideas where else they sell these stunning makeup brushes…

Urban Decay Brow Tamer In Taupe

I’ve been loving a more natural brow look at the moment, and I have just been sweeping a little of this through my eyebrows. It’s so low maintenance and gives my brows a little more pizzazz without looking scary. It really works in spring for me and I’m loving the more natural everyday makeup vibe right now! The formula is really great for this product, I love the packaging and it makes my brows stay put during the day as it sets them into place.

Lifestyle

BlogCon LDN

As I mentioned I went to my first blogging event in London and I loved meeting other brands and bloggers. It was lovely to involve myself in blogging talk and to hear what brands were about. Although I arrived late due to work commitments there was still opportunity to make the most of the displays and blog setting. I loved catching up with Milena, Bex and Heather. They are all lovely people and you should check out their blogs!
