Trying Out My Beauty #6

It’s time to discover some new gems in my beauty stash and this month I’ve picked out some great little options. I love going through my beauty products and seeing what I can trial out. It’s also great using up things that I’d forgotten I owned and although a lot of the things I find are miniatures, I get equal excitement out of using them all!

bareMinerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo

I bought this highlight and setting powder duo a while back but I had completely forgotten I owned it. Most days, my makeup is quite simple and so highlight and setting powder totally get missed out. However, when I next shoot photos for my blog or go out for dinner, I will use this! The translucent powder looks particularly good at setting the makeup and taking away excess shine, without adding more heavy makeup. The highlight is gorgeous too – a pearly fluorescent shimmer – dreamy!

The Ritual Of Sakura Hand Balm SPF 15

I recently bought a multipack of mini hand creams from Rituals as I just love their hand balms and I wanted to try out the other varieties without purchasing full sized versions. This SPF version of the Ritual of Sakura hand balm caught my eye as incorporating SPF into a hand cream is genius. I can report that the hand balm is just as lovely. I personally love Rituals hand creams – they are super nourishing and smell amazing! They really help my eczema dry hands and feel so luxurious.

Clinique High Impact Mascara

I have collected a lot of these over the years as a free gift to Clinique purchases. I love the mini travel size and I haven’t got a black mascara on the go at the moment as mine needed throwing out. This will make a nice little addition to my everyday makeup bag.

Charles Worthington Takeaways Volume Body Booster Mousse

I purchased this mini SO LONG AGO that they have even changed the packaging now. I was debating whether this is still ok to use? I think it time I finally used it as it’s rated really highly! It promises to give body, bounce and control to lifeless hair and is the official 2015 BAFTA product. It says to shake before use, applying a small amount through damp hair from root to tip. After combing through, you are supposed to blow dry as normal. I’m intrigued to see how this works.

Dove Gentle Exfoliating Nourishing Body Wash

I always purchase either Nivea or Dove shower creams when they are on offer for £1.00. This one looked really good so I thought I would try out the exfoliating body wash. I have been using it and loving the gentle consistency of it. I would definitely recommend it if you like a subtle exfoliation.

Exuviance Brightening Bionic Eye Creme Plus*

I received this eye cream at a blogger event. I have never heard of this brand before and there is not much online about them but I am willing to try this out as the eye cream looks good. It is made in the US and claims to make the under-eye area brighter and more youthful. With ingredients such as green tea and cucumber, this sounds very gentle for the delicate under eye area.
