Blogmas My Christmas Traditions

Today I thought I would share with you my Christmas traditions. I always enjoy reading how other people spend their Christmas’s and so I thought I would let you know what I like to do and what traditions me and my family have. I hope you enjoy!

Christmas Eve Dinner

Every year my mum makes a salmon dish and we sit down at the table and have a lovely meal altogether. We dress the table and usually have 2 or 3 courses. We enjoy each other’s company, food and a tipple of wine. Then we probably watch a film altogether. I just love doing this with my parents and even though I don’t live at home anymore it just wouldn’t be the same otherwise.

Christmas Day Breakfast

After a relaxed get up, present unwrapping and coffee we have salmon and scrambled eggs as a family. My sister is usually here at this point too and so it feels lovely and festive. We usually eat Christmas lunch late afternoon so I find this a perfect breakfast and something a little more special.

Boyfriend’s Parent’s Neighbours

Every year my boyfriend’s parents have nibbles with their next-door neighbours. I think this is a lovely tradition and it is so nice to see neighbours getting on these days. You just don’t have that community in London and so I love going back home to experience this. I usually pop in for a bit whilst dropping off the boyfriend.

Christmas Lunch

After the morning’s activities, I go home to help with the last bits for Christmas lunch and then me and my family enjoy our meal together. We usually eat our dessert in the evening as the main meal fills us up! I love spreading it out also and we break the celebrations up with Christmas TV, chats and relaxing. By the evening my boyfriend returns and we enjoy the rest of the evening together with the family. I love spending time with others on Christmas and this is my favourite part (as well as the food).
