2018 Personal And Blogging Aims

2018 is finally here! It always takes me quite a while to write the correct date and realise that we have changed years. I love the feeling of a fresh start but this year I have decided to think of it as just evolving from the previous year. I had a good year last year and whilst it was difficult in many ways I am so lucky for all the things that happened. You can catch up on my highlights in my last blog post here. So, this year I am going to list some aspirations whether it be personal or blog related and here’s to trying to achieve them!

Grow My Blog

I really want to focus more on outreach rather than just producing blogs. I do promote my blogs on social media but it can be hard to crack the Instagram algorithm. I really want to focus on this and try and connect with more bloggers. I want to also discover some less well known blogs and read more of those. I think it is important to support other bloggers too.

Feature More Sponsored Content

Whilst I enjoy writing, I really want to make a little income from it to support my time invested into it. I also want to work with brands so that I can bring more exciting content to you whilst featuring products I am passionate about.

Improve My Photography

I am really self-taught when it comes to photography and I feel like I kind of just wing it to get the correct photos. I would love to know what I am doing more and maybe read more up about the subject. I would love to go on a course if possible but these can be expensive.

Visit More Places

I don’t venture out of my comfort zone much but I used to love going to more new places. Whilst some trips away have made me hesitant to do this, I really want to push myself to battle through my anxiety and discover some new places.

Find A Sport I Enjoy

I have had trouble with my leg this year which has been frustrating. Whilst I am still having physio, I want to start Pilates up again after it has finished. I also would like to find some cardio activity that I could do and enjoy at the same time. Maybe I need to try some YouTube videos. I know Naturally Sassy does a Ballet Blast series on her YouTube channel so I might try that. If you have not heard of Saskia Gregson-Williams, she is a ballet dancer turned blogger, personal trainer and of founder Ballet Blast. She also has a cookbook!

Battle Anxiety

Anxiety is always a hard thing to talk about but this year has been hard in many ways for me and somehow, I have become more anxious. I am looking forward to embracing 2018 and conquering fears and new beginnings in 2018.
