DIY Jewellery Hanger

Creating something yourself can be so fun and it’s even more satisfying knowing that what you own is one of a kind. That unique item can be catered to your own needs and reflect your exact style. I saw some jewellery hanging frames on Pinterest and was instantly inspired to make a version for myself. I wanted to bring a sense of rustic charm to a frame but still keep that modern visual.

First was sourcing the frame. I got mine from Amazon, but you can also get frames on websites like Etsy. There are so many out there to choose from. Make sure you take account of the size of the frame and the border dimensions for hanging jewellery from. I love the Shabby Chic nature of the walnut wood with speckled white decoration from the design I chose.

Once the frame was selected it was on to the hooks. Again, I got mine from Amazon and they are fairly easy to hammer into the top of the frame. Make sure you think about the spacing between them and try and divide them up equally between the width.

Last but not least, I wanted to get a decorative background that was simple and elegant. I purchased some self-adhesive decorative film and it looked fantastic with the charming finished article. I attached it to the backing of the frame and it worked wonders.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and it gave you some inspiration to create something similar for your home. I love the fact that I can now have my necklaces on display and this makes it easier to choose my accessories when getting ready in the mornings.
