It’s time for another outfit of the day post and this time I’ve found some cosy winter knits and jewels to sparkle through December. I love feeling cosy in the winter but I also like to try and look stylish. I find you can really elevate a look through accessories and so I have kept the clothes simple so that the accessories can enhance them rather than clash.
I love the cable knit jumper from Marks and Spencer. It’s so unique with the buttoned back and open knit details. I love how you can pair it with a classic black strap top and have the details on the arms displayed still.
The shorts from Topshop look so stylish and elegant with the lace leg details. Velvet is such a luxurious material for winter and I thought it paired with the jumper perfectly! I love how premium these feel and look far superior for their price point – such a high street gem.
Asos is a treasure trove of accessories and I managed to find some gorgeous gold toned accessories to add more style to my outfit. The pearl and leaf effect bracelet is so unusual and looks far more expensive than it is! It goes with the whole Christmas vibe very well. The pearl band ring also looks stunning with the different sized pearl details.
I really love how the choker elevates this look with the lace details echoing the shorts. I don’t wear chokers much but might have to start wearing them more after this purchase! I don’t think you can go wrong with black accessories as they are bound to go with so many outfits and it also saves the decision of which necklace to wear!
To go with this look, I wore this oversized blue and gold coloured tote bag from John Lewis which I have actually had for at least 2 to 3 years now! I managed to find a great dupe from Ted Baker for you to drool over online so have a look at the link below. I just love how the gold and blue exterior pulls this outfit together and helps to blend everything in unison. The black gloves from Oliver Bonas keep my hands warm whilst looking smart and sophisticated.
Finally, the boots I wore for my winter daytime look are from Aldo. I needed to replace my old battered boots so I managed to get these beautiful black ankle boots with gold coloured zip fastenings. I adore them so much and although slightly more than I would normally spend on shoes, I think these will last well. The quality of them is so premium and they will go with skirts, trousers AND dresses so I will definitely get my money’s worth!
Let me know what you think of this outfit! I had great fun creating it and think these colours echo my style and preferences. I feel like I am starting to enjoy putting outfits together again, having not been so experimental of late. There are so many combinations of clothes you can choose and so looking individual couldn’t be easier!
