Blogmas Day 7… Christmas Cards That Make A Difference

Sending cards every year is something I love to do, particularly now I live away from lots of people I adore. It’s a chance to say hi and let people know you are thinking of them which I think is such a lovely thing. Sometimes life is so hectic, and we don’t have time to see everyone that we would like to, but sending a card shows you haven’t forgotten about them and they are equally valued in your life.

This year, I wanted to make more of an effort to be more mindful in what I do during the festive season. Rather than send a glittery card that can’t be recycled, I wanted to send ones that are more sustainable. I also wanted to send charity themed cards as I love the thought of donating part of the price to a deserving cause at the same time. The cards I found in Paperchase were just perfect for the job!

All the cards do not contain any foil or glitter that I chose, and some are made from recycled paper. I love this idea. The charities that I chose to support were Place2Be (a children’s mental health charity), SightSavers (a charity working to prevent avoidable blindness) and Mind (a mental health charity). All are incredible charities and it really makes me happy that I will be helping to raise funds as part of my festive giving.

Paperchase have got some amazing charitable cards. The designs are so lovely! If you are interested, check them out here.

Are you going to send charity themed cards this year?
