Autumn is such an exciting change of season with the beautiful leaves on the ground and the stunning rusty orange hues. I thought I would share with you a few lip wonders that work really well in Autumn, from orange tones to more purple shades. Hopefully there is a lip product for everyone here!
Let’s start with something a bit lighter and moisturising on the lips! The Clinique chubby sticks are stunning this time of year, when our lips need that extra bit of help to nourish them. What is so great about these chubby sticks is the tint in them. The flowering freesia is purple on first glance but is not harsh at all as it blends with your natural lip tone. The coming up rosy lip tint is also subtle and so gorgeous for Autumn when you need a bit of glam but want to treat your lips to some love and attention.
Again, another lip butter to add to your collection! The Korres lip butters are so creamy and the colour is so lovely. Whilst I do prefer the applicator of the chubby sticks, I love the cute little pot this comes in. The red tone to this is perfect for a more girly autumn vibe.
I just love NYX butter glosses and what’s better is they are so affordable. The quality is definitely there and they just feel really nice on the lips. The colour Angel Food Cake is a pinky mauve which works so well in Autumn. It fades really evenly and looks subtle but gorgeous on.
Nars lipsticks are so gorgeous. This nude toned Honolulu Honey lipstick adds a nice finish without going overboard. The orange colouring to it makes it perfect for Autumn and a great day time piece.
Nars Shrinagar is a more plum based colour. It is so pretty in both Autumn and Winter because of its sophisticated finish. The colour fades really beautifully so you don’t need to stress too much about reapplying when you don’t have a chance to.
This is a braver lipstick for an evening or vibrant daytime look. It looks stunning on. The only downside is the shape of the lipstick. I just find the straight edge really hard to apply. I guess a lip brush is the answer but not so great for retouches on the go. That said, the colour is stunning and this is a real statement piece!
The Rimmel Kate lipsticks are a staple for anyone. They are so affordable and yet are so enjoyable to wear. I love the no. 38 and although it is more pinky nude in colour, I will not stop wearing it during this season. It just goes with so many looks and looks really expensive on. I am a pinky nude lipstick kind of girl and this is one of my favourites.
The colour of MAC In Control is a beigey brown mauve colour. It is lovely as a liner but also stunning as a full lip. I cover my whole lips in this and it looks so Autumn. The only downside is it does dry out the lips but if you moisturise well it doesn’t matter. This is definitely going to be making an appearance in my makeup bag during Autumn.
Another lip pencil and this time I’ve gone for a rusty red tone. This is lovely paired with a red lip as a liner (such as Red Capet 1 from Bobbi Brown) or all over the lips as explained above. Such a gorgeous shade and great for an evening or daytime look!
I hope you enjoyed my Autumn lipstick selections. What lip products do you enjoy this time of year?
