Anstey Hall

Recently, I had the opportunity to get away from busy London for a long weekend and visit Cambridge. Cambridge is beautiful and worth a trip to explore. I was lucky enough to stay at Anstey Hall as I had found a great deal online. Because we had booked 10 nights away with Hotels.com, it meant that one night was free! This is such a great deal and you can find it here. I also recommend having a Google for voucher codes to ensure the best deal out there! So with one night free, my boyfriend and I decided to stay in the superior double room for 2 nights. From the photos online you can never quite tell what a hotel is like in person but when we got there we were amazed…

Firstly, the manor house is stunning in itself. The owner still lives there and so the hall has a home from home feeling… with a bit of added posh! I could definitely get used to living there. I didn’t want to leave! The rooms downstairs can be explored including the drawing room and the cosy entrance with a wood burning fire place. The feel to the house was so warm and friendly. We also chatted to the owner and he seemed very welcoming.

We stayed in the superior double room which was absolutely wonderful. I had never stayed in such a nice hotel room before. The poster bed was so authentic and the light beamed through the insanely tall windows which was so lovely. The room was grand and spectacular and I almost thought I had come to Downton Abbey and I was a princess!

The room had a balcony which you entered via the sash windows – such a sophisticated touch. We were lucky with the weather and were fortunate enough to take some outfit shots for one of my Christmas blogs. Such a stunning location with the stone and greenery in the shots! I loved being in a stately home! Even Channel 5 were filming during our visit so that was very exciting too!

The bathroom was AMAZING. It was bigger than our current living area and it was my dream bathroom. We had ‘his and her’ sinks, a roll top bath, lovely shower, a gorgeous fireplace…. It was so beautiful! There was enough space to live in luxury and put all your beauty items on the mantelpiece. I honestly could have stayed in that bathroom all day and it was really cosy with the heating on too! The window was so adorable too and I really did feel so lucky to be staying there. I had a dreamy bath as I had brought my pamper products to photograph and so I was sorted.

It was so relaxing staying at Anstey Hall and I highly recommend going there for a little break. Even the price per night without the deal was fantastic value for the space and experience you got from staying there! I hope you enjoyed this blog and seeing what there is to offer in Cambridge!
