Trying Out My Beauty #4

I really love rummaging through my beauty stash and choosing some items to trial for the month. I really look forward to picking out some gems and get excited to use them. I often forget what great pieces I have hoarded recently and love to remind myself! Find out what treasures I am trying this month…

1

Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado | Kiehl’s

I have been suffering from dry under eyes at the moment and I think I have sadly inherited thin skin around my eye area. My concealer tends to took a little cakey if I put too much on as it clings to this area. I have heard such great things about Kiehl’s and so I am hoping this rich avocado oil cream will give my eye area a little more hydration!

Almond Shower Oil | L’OCCITANE

I love L’OCCITANE shower minis and I still have a few sample sized products I am yet to try from free gifts I have received with purchases. This almond one looks divine and hopefully it will make my skin silky soft. I can’t wait to use it! I love enjoying pampering products in the shower and it is great to have a little more luxury on a weekday wash.

Argan Oil Of Morocco Moisture Rich Shampoo* | Natural World

I received this shampoo at a blogger event and yet I haven’t used it yet. My hair is so dry and frizzy, especially when being washed under the horrible hard London water. This rich argan oil shampoo is also infused with the essential oils Rosemary, Lemongrass, Orange and Ylang Ylang. It sounds divine AND uses 95% natural ingredients which I am very excited about. It promises to moisturise, smooth, repair, nourish, soften and add shine to the hair. Fabulous!

13

Radiance Reveal Concealer | Bourjois

I was after a light and hydrating concealer. My friend Sally recommended this to me and I am going to give it a go this month after forgetting I had purchased it! It promises to hydrate the under-eye area for 24 hours and I am hoping this will help with under eye concealer creases I suffer from! Have any of you tried this before?

Turnaround Revitalizing Treatment Oil | Clinique

I talked about this product in a Beauty Haul and since then I have not ventured to try it. I am nearly out of my trusty Bare Minerals Serum Essence and so I thought I would give this a go. It promises to be light but nourishing and promotes plumped and radiant skin. My skin is dry and so this sounds exactly what it needs!

Instant Boost Skin Tonic | Liz Earle

I received this sample in a Christmas beauty box that I treated myself too. I have been really enjoying Liz Earle products lately and have loved using the Skin Repair Moisturiser in my most recent Skincare Routine. I have since then also enjoyed the famous Cleanse And Polish. So, I thought it was about time to try this out too! I never like changing too many skincare products at once but I trust Liz Earle products now and my skin seems to love them. Hopefully it loves this! You are supposed to apply it generously before moisturising, morning and night. You can even spritz a little on your face throughout the day as a little top up. This sounds amazing! Toners are supposed to help close the pores and prep the skin for moisturiser. I may also add my serum after this stage to add extra hydration before applying my moisturiser. I have feared using toners as some can be drying and one I used last year left my skin unhappy. However, this one is alcohol free and suitable for all skin types. So I hope it is promising! It also includes gorgeous natural ingredients such as aloe vera, calendula, chamomile and cucumber which are great for soothing sensitive skin!

14

Disposable Razors For Sensitive Skin | Superdrug

I get through lots of disposable razors as I change mine every week. So, I thought I would try Superdrug’s own branded razor. The price is less than £5 for 3 razors which is slightly cheaper than the larger brands. I hope these are as good. They look similar and if I can save a few pennies I will be very happy as this means savings towards Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks haha.

4

Deep Cleansing Mask Sponges | Liz Earle

I already used the mask to go with these sponges but I thought I would use them on my usual face mask Fridays with whatever mask I am loving that week. I love to do a ritual facemask every Friday and these exfoliating sponges look gentle but great at buffing away any dead skin. They are nice and small and so they are great for removing a facemask carefully.
