My Evening Routine

I LOVE reading people’s daily routines and so I thought it would be nice to write my own one for the evening time. I wrote my Morning Routine a while back which you can read if you are interested! I hope you enjoy learning a little more about my evenings…

6.40pm

I tend to try and have dinner ready for around 6.40pm. This means me and my boyfriend eat early and can enjoy having more time in the evening. I love to make home cooked food if I can but I do enjoy it when I can take something out of the freezer like a homemade chilli to reheat for efficiency!

 

7.00pm

After dinner I like to take off my makeup and wash my face, get into comfy clothes and apply my skincare routine. I really look forward to this part of the day and it makes me feel refreshed. I also apply lots of lovely hand cream and get some cosy socks at the ready. I might also catch up on any Twitter, Instagram, messages or YouTube.

 

7.30pm

Me and Owen tend to look at anything we have to do such as go food shopping (which I wouldn’t have got into my pyjamas for) or look through chores we have together.

 

8.30pm

We tend to sit down (if not already) and watch a programme. Sometimes, we like to do a jigsaw (because we are so cool) and we usually have dessert around this time.

 

9.30pm

Around this time is when I tend to brush my teeth and get ready for bed. I write in my gratitude book and jot down any worries I have in another notebook. This has really helped take note and clear my mind before bed. I would definitely recommend it! I love to also read my book and *try not to look at my phone but it is always tempting.

 

10.30pm-11pm

Bed time can range but we try to get to sleep around this time daily. Obviously, some days don’t go to plan and we might be later eating dinner for example and need more reading time but this is generally the aim.

I hope you enjoyed my routine! I can’t say it is the most interesting one out there ha-ha but I’m quite a granny when it comes to evenings!

    Aww, what a cute littl’ post <3 Your evening is actually very similar to mine, not gonna lie it's kind of creeping me out haha. Another thing which I can highly recommend doing, is a little yoga session before bed – or maybe even just some breathing sessions. They honestly make me fall asleep ASAP <3 Great post Sophie xx

      Thanks for reading! That’s funny that our routines are so similar, love it! Yoga is definitely something that sounds good, thanks for recommending. Meditation or pilates before bed are also things that I think would help my anxiety!

    I’ve always wanted to try Zoella beauty products, they look so cute & yummy smelling!! I’ve been trying to read a book before bed instead of scrolling through twitter, some nights I’m successful but other times not so much. Maybe I should try writing in a journal.

      I have to be REALLY strict with myself with my phone before bed. Sometimes I plug it in out of reaching distance to charge to you could try that! I definitely notice the days I don’t I sleep worse! This Zoella hand cream is really great! The product is so moisturising and also sinks into the skin quickly!
