January 2019 Beauty Trials

January is a great time for trying new things! Although I’m not always big on the whole New Year’s Change Your Life goals, I do love a good beauty product trialling! I’ve picked out a few things I got for Christmas and some items I had lying around in my beauty collection. So, let’s see what I’ve chosen to start using during January…

The Body Shop Shea Butter Hand Cream

I received this hand cream for Christmas and I just love The Body Shop so I can’t wait to try this. Shea butter is great for nourishing the skin and combating this dry skincare time of year.

Bath Fizzers…

I really want to try and have more baths this month. I haven’t been having many baths lately but I’m now going to be teaching a bit more so I think I will be in need of some TLC in the evenings after a tiring violin teaching day.

Sustainable Period Protection By Natracare

I really want to try and reduce my plastic impact on the environment, but I am hesitant to use “cups” and other similar things for periods… it’s just too out there for me personally. However, these biodegradable period pads may be the answer. I really want to try and use these and see how they go. I only tried them for one day last time of the month, but I want to try and use them again to see how I go. Sorry if this an embarrassing topic but us women do have periods and we shouldn’t be humiliated by the subject!

Autograph Luxe Multi Bronzer

This multi shade bronzer was in my Marks & Spencer Beauty Advent Calendar and I am so excited to try it! I wanted to replace my several year old and battered bronzer, so this has come at a great time. I don’t think you can beat some winter contour to spruce up an evening makeup look! The colour of this bronzer is dreamy, and it will also add a lovely glow to my makeup look. It is also alcohol, cruelty and paraben free. It is hypoallergenic and suitable for vegans.

Filorga Time Filler Eyes Absolute Eye Correction Cream

Another beauty favourite from my advent calendar was this eye cream. I’m always looking to try new eye creams as I have dry skin in that area of my face. It makes a great travel size too. It is paraben free and made using plant-based ingredients. It claims to reduce the look of wrinkles and helps to even out skin tone.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick

I’ve had this in my makeup box since last December and it is gorgeous, so I don’t know what I have been waiting for! I am going to wear it out for dinner tonight! Stila is a reliable brand and their eyeshadows I have tried before with success.  It has a creamy but matte finish and claims to be long lasting.  The colour is so beautiful too.

Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner

This brown shade eye liner is just heavenly and I needed to replace my old battered eye liners. I received this in my advent calendar and am looking forward to trying it. It is waterproof, long lasting and has a creamy formula. It looks amazing!

Neal’s Yard Organic Facial Wipes

Neal’s Yard is a lovely brand. Their natural beauty products are divine and these facial wipes I received from my sister for Christmas look so luxurious. I can’t wait to use them when I next visit my parents for a weekend. They make a great travel makeup removal option. They have lavender and aloe vera in which are great for the skin.

Oliver Bonas Foot Cream

I had this foot cream from a pamper pack that I bought in Oliver Bonas. I always love using a pampering foot cream and it really does help with caring for your feet. I’m looking forward to using this treat. Oliver Bonas do some great self-care items – it is a great place to get gifts for people.
