January Pick Me Up

January is a time of year where things can get a bit glum and stressful. The post-Christmas slump is real but that doesn’t mean we need to stop taking care of ourselves and stop smiling. I wanted to create this blog to show people that by making little glimmers of sparkle during January, it can really brighten up your day. I have a few ideas below to help with the winter blues and to add some cheer into your January. I hope you like the ideas. If you have any other ones to add, feel free to share the love in the comments section below.

Make Yourself A Healthy Treat Box

January doesn’t have to mean horrendous punishing diets and exercise until we faint. Treat yourself with respect and allow yourself some healthy treats instead. Trust me, these treats are so yummy you won’t even know they are healthier than crisps and chocolate! Some of my recommendations are below.

Squirrel Sisters Cacao Brownie

Hippeas Chickea Puffs

Aduna Cho-Orange Burst

Pulsin Vanilla Choc Chip Protein Booster

Deliciously Ella Cacao & Almond Energy Ball

Kaakao Chocolate Bar

Plan A Meetup With Friends

Meeting up with friends doesn’t have to be expensive. Why not cook together, have a clothes swap party or simply a board games evening? Being around great people is essential.

Set Yourself A Challenge

January is a great time to invest a little bit more energy on things you can really get into. You could learn a new skill such as playing an instrument, you could aim to read a certain number of books, you could set yourself a challenge to cook a different recipe each week… The choices are endless!

Have A Declutter

Having a declutter and organise can be exactly what you need to freshen your home up a bit. Think of which items you never use and make sure they end up in a better home such as with family and friends or your local charity shop.

Take Time For You

Make the most of a quiet month and enjoy relaxing. Catch up on some YouTube, Christmas TV or finally have time to paint your nails!

Treat Yourself To Something Small

I know December was an expensive month but treating yourself to something small under £10 is a great way to cheer yourself up. Why not hunt out a bargain in the sales!

Do you have any great tips for beating the January Blues?
