Lockdown Skincare Routine

Skincare is a passion of mine and I just always look forward to applying my beauty products every day. Over the years I have developed my skincare routine and although it changes from month to month, the same principles mostly apply. I tend to mix up the products I use but I do have my favourites that I keep coming back to. Skin is something that I love to look after and people do ask me what I do regularly. So, I thought I would post an updated skincare routine for the products I have been using during lockdown. I hope you enjoy!

Morning Routine

After washing my face with my normal face wash, I apply the following products. I also apply a sun cream afterwards as it is important to protect our skin from sun damage.

STEP 1… Caudalie Beauty Elixir

I bought this product last summer when I wanted to use a refreshing face spritz throughout the day. It is so lovely at adding a little extra moisture and a pick me up. I occasionally use it for this reason. However, the main use is in the mornings when I apply this before my daily face moisturiser. My skin seems to like it and I have sensitive and dry skin. It is so lovely on the skin and makes you feel really pampered.

STEP 2… Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment

I have dry under eye skin and so I like to use an ultra-hydrating eye cream. This one is perfect as it is so creamy and leaves the under-eye area feeling plump and lovely. I do however want to find a non-paraben version as I prefer not to use parabens on my face anymore. It is an excellent eye cream, but I feel there could be more natural ones that are similar out there. Any recommendations? Let me know in the comments!

STEP 3… Burt’s Bees Daily Moisturising Cream

My last step in the morning is a sensitive moisturiser. This one is so light and perfect for summer. It doesn’t upset my sensitive skin and is cheaper than other brands. It is also made using natural ingredients which I love.

Evening Routine

After washing my face with my normal face wash, I apply the following products.

STEP 1… Pixi Rose Tonic

In the evenings I like to use this Pixi Rose Tonic toner for my skin. I am not normally a toner kind of person as my skin is sensitive but this one doesn’t upset my skin. It just helps to balance the PH and reduce redness and it feels lovely on the skin. I only pat a little into the skin as less is more I feel.

STEP 2… Pure Oil

I have recently discovered the Pure range from Marks and Spencer. Not only is this oil so moisturising for the skin, it also smells divine. The skin is left feeling so nourished and plump. It also uses natural ingredients which I love. It is more affordable than other brands. I would highly recommend this, and I am eager to try more products from the range.

STEP 3… Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment

Again, I use an eye cream under my eye and just beneath the brow bone. I pat in in careful using my ring finger as the skin around this area is delicate.

STEP 4… Beauty Pie Plantastic Deep Nourishing Moisture Balm

I am so happy to still have some of this left after last year I subscribed to Beauty Pie for a few months. I must admit their products are divine and this is probably the best night cream for my face I have used. I would highly recommend it as it just feels so soothing and silky on the skin. One of my favourite products in this blog post.

Have you tried any of these? What do you like the sound of?
