Making My Own Beauty Advent Calendar

It’s been a little while since I wrote a blog post! Things have been quite full on for me personally, but I love this blog and didn’t want it to fade! With Christmas coming up, I’m getting excited about blogging again. And all the cosy vibes are back! I thought I would come back with a festive themed blog post to get us into the Christmas spirit!

I’ve been a fan of beauty advent calendars the last few years and this year I wanted to try and make one myself. I kept the packaging to my Liberty advent calendar last year as it was so gorgeous and too good to throw out. This year I loved the sound of the advent calendars on the market, but I just felt that little bit wasteful buying one as there were a few products I just wouldn’t use. I wanted to make sure my advent calendar included things I would use and personalise it more to myself. I also don’t need products with lots of fancy ingredients such as retinol.

At the moment I love my skincare to be more natural and so why spend more money than needed? I know my advent calendar is still expensive, but it is still less than the premium calendars out there. The beauty of making a calendar yourself means you can cater it to your budget too. And although the value is not as high as the mass-produced ones, the value to yourself is far greater! And you can really personalise the contents to yourself.

I hope you enjoy seeing what I picked out! I can’t wait to open the doors in December, and it really brings an extra sparkle to Christmas. I’ve also mixed up the doors and so I will likely forget which products are in each. This has been a tough year and it’s nice to have little pick me ups in advent. It’s my favourite time with all the cosy vibes too!
