November 2021 Beauty Trials

I thought I write a “trying my beauty” blog post as I love choosing items that have been sitting in my beauty drawers. Tell me I am not the only one who has a collection of things they save until a rainy day to use!

This is what I picked out to try in November…

Sol Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

This body cream has been hyped up on social media for its fast-absorbing properties. I’ve had this in my beauty cupboard since last Christmas beauty advent calendar and I’ve just started using it. It is great as it just melts into your skin without feeling sticky afterwards. I also find I don’t need to use too much, and it smells divine.

Prai Ageless Throat & Décolletage Night Crème

This was another item I had in my beauty stash for a while, and it is another beauty advent calendar item. Whilst I feel like my usual moisturiser will do the trick on my neck, I might as well use this instead of wasting it. It has such good reviews for anti-ageing properties but I’m not sure I would have bought this if it wasn’t in an advent calendar. This year I am thinking of making my own advent calendar as I want to make sure I use every item and some of the high-end items I just don’t need. I love low to mid-range items usually and ones that are more natural and simpler. Let me know if you think that is a good idea?

Wild Deodorant

I have had this for a while and started using one of the refills but unfortunately when I first used it, I’m not sure if the refill had dried out. So, it left dry bits of deodorant on my clothes. Not ideal. I decided to give a different refill a go and it is so much better. I’m currently using the lavender scent at the moment and although I have to rub some of the deodorant in, it works better. It is so great because you only need to buy one case and then you can just top up the refills (which are compostable).

The Balm Eyelid Primer

I’ve had this eyeshadow primer for a while and just started using it. It is silky smooth and I’m really enjoying it so far. An eyeshadow primer just helps to make sure your makeup lasts longer and creates a more even base.

Feather & Down Pillow Spray

I wanted to try a cheaper lavender spray, however I’m sad to say I don’t really like this. It had amazing reviews but personally I get more camomile scent than lavender. If you love camomile, then this is right up your street but I’m not a huge fan. It’s a shame because it is affordable. I will still use it up, but I won’t be repurchasing.

Dear Polly Vilhelm Parfumerie

I’m not a huge perfume girl so I really want to go through my perfume and make sure I use it. This one came in my beauty advent calendar last year and the packaging and scent is gorgeous. It’s quite an earthy scent but still feminine at the same time.

Simple Pore Scrub

I have always loved Simple face cleansers and yet I haven’t tried a face scrub from them. I don’t use a scrub every day but probably every 2-3 days. This one sounds lovely with ingredients like thyme, bamboo, and witch hazel. I’m excited to try this. It also doesn’t contain any parabens or harsh chemicals and it is vegan.

Do you have a favourite from these items? Are you going to raid your beauty stash to try something new?
