July 2020 Favourites

July has been lovely for summer days that have not been too hot. I have been enjoying the 20-25 degree weather we have been having lately as it has been warm but not unbearably hot. We have been loving vegan discoveries this month and there are so many goodies in this blog post to chat about! I am obsessed with so many of them! I have you covered for so many vegan options here! I have also discovered some great beauty bits this month as skincare is also a passion of mine. I hope you enjoy the blog!

Green & Black’s Velvet Fruit Edition Dark Chocolate Orange Bitesize Bag

We copied Owen’s parents and bought these orange dark chocolates by Green & Blacks. They are just amazing! They taste like a Jaffa Cake! Honestly so addictive…

Beyond Meat Plant Based Burgers

We used to love getting burgers from Byron and they used these plant-based patties for their burgers. Honestly the best I have tasted! They are so similar to meat burgers and the texture is incredible! They taste insanely good! I actually prefer these to meat ones now.

Meatless Farm Meat Free Mince

If you are looking for a great meatless and healthier version of the standard mince, then this is great! The texture is there, and you really feel like you are not missing out. I love this brand! It is made from soya protein and it has that real earthy taste that you need from mince!

Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Fudge Brownie Non-Dairy Ice Cream

I honestly don’t think you could tell the difference between this and the dairy version. When vegan options taste so amazing, then I really get excited to swap those items into my diet. I am not a vegan, but I just love to use vegan alternatives wherever possible. This is so ingenious, and it is honestly as good (if not better) than the dairy version.

Heck Meat Free Sausages

When we tried these sausages in a Morison’s food box, we were so happy to receive them. They are in my opinion the best meat free sausages I have tried. They are so “meaty” without being meat! I don’t really like meat sausages that much, but these make me adore them! I love the feeling of knowing I am not eating anything nasty and can trust the ingredients!

Larabar Banana Choc Chip

These are so yummy! So moist and filling and they have become my new favourite snack bar. They literally taste like banana cake!

Yoo Moo Vegan Coconut Lolly Mango

I know I mentioned these last month, but I really just had to mention them again. They are insanely refreshing, and you might just be reaching for more ice cream and lollies over the summer!

Rug No Slip Mat

We recently bought a rug for our desk area, however it always moved and got in the way. I looked up about this non slip rug hold and it works perfectly! It also makes the rug softer to walk on as it now feels like carpet! Definitely recommend adding to any rugs you have at home!

Sally Rooney Normal People

I recently started reading Normal People as everyone has been talking about it! It is now on the BBC as a TV drama and I really want to read the book before starting it. The book is really good so far and I’m looking forward to reading it all.

Lanolips Lemonaid Lip Treatment

My lips have been so dry from the dry weather and this lip balm is just incredible. So silky to apply and it smells just like lemonade! It is also free from any nasty parabens, petrolatum, PEG’s, mineral oil and sulphates. I love this and would definitely recommend!

Ren Rosa Centifolia Cleansing Gel

I love using a creamy cleanser normally, so I was intrigued to try this. This cleanser is lovely to use and does not upset my sensitive skin. It brings off makeup beautifully.
