December Favourites

I seem to have missed doing a Favourites blog for a few months but I really like doing them as it makes me appreciate all the good things I’ve been enjoying recently and what better month to get back into it than December? Winter is one of my favourite times of year and being cosy indoors with some pamper products is just the best! So, lets get started! Here’s what I’ve been enjoying throughout December…

Festive Wrapping

I have had to learn to elevate my wrapping through ornaments, bows and ribbons to make them a little more special. My actual wrapping skills are a little messy haha but I feel this can be disguised very well through decoration! Taking that extra care to put that ribbon on or tie that bow can make it look like you have put a lot more thought and care into your wrapping. It also helps make a more affordable present look more expensive – tricks for those on a budget!

I have put together a few wrapping ideas for you to take some inspiration from or just adapt yourselves. I feel like anyone could do these ideas and it doesn’t take too much time or money!

Festive Hair Styles

I can’t believe blogmas is nearly over but that means Christmas is almost here which is so exciting! I haven’t done a hair styles blog before but as I have long hair I thought why not use it! And blogmas is the perfect time to create some content I’ve been wanting to do for a while. I’m not the best at hair but when I make more of an effort I always feel more confident. These three styles should give you a few ideas or inspiration to adapt during the festive season when you want to make a little more effort for those Christmas gatherings!

Mulled Wine

I love mulled wine in winter and it really does make me feel all festive! There is something about winter spices that just warms me inside and makes me feel all cosy. This year I decided to make some homemade mulled wine and it was delicious! Why not have a go at making a batch and invite friends over for festive drinks that won’t cost an arm and a leg?

Hope you enjoy this recipe! Let me know if you make it or what other ingredients you like to add to your wine!

Homemade Gift Tags

The last few years have turned into a bit of a tradition in terms of making my own Christmas gift tags! Me and my mum have been getting into the habit of saving last year’s Christmas cards and recycling them into something special! So, I carried on the tradition this year and made some from my 2015 cards!

It is so easy to do and you can create all kinds of different shapes and designs. If I have a really great card to work from I try to follow the design shape and cut around that. For example, my super cute snowman gift tag was created by using the snowman’s silhouette as a guide. I also use biscuit cutters to draw and cut out shapes of other cards which had a fairly neutral design. I love the gingerbread men and the stars especially this year!
